I have quite a patch of "winter flowers' - mushrooms - in my front yard. Big enough to make dog-walkers and stroller-pushers stop and take a good long look! The deer have been nibbling on them, and that just makes more appear.
While an annoyance to some gardeners, I look upon these beauties as doing us a fundamental and important job - they are recyclers. They help decompose materials in the soil, and provide nutrients back into our yarden.
And if that we're enough, they're just fun to watch and photograph!
