Mama's First Kiss
So this mama worked pretty hard and we watched the entire event. After the calf was born, mama sniffed it for a while, presumably to implant the calf's scent on her memory. She then began a thorough job of licking the the amniotic sac off.
While that explanation works, I preferred to label this Mama's First Kiss.
