St. Anthony's Forever
There's a great little village on the San Mateo coast that we love to visit - Davenport. It's a great drive along our beautiful coastline, and there's a great restaurant - family owned for three generations - that is a local landmark - Duarte's. Pescadero has lots of interesting places to poke around, but my favorite is a lovely hillside cemetery right on the outskirts of town. After our artichoke soup and strawberry-rhubarb pie, it's an easy walk to the graveyard. Lot's of photographic possibilities, and easy to fall into an introspective mood as we wander amid the old gravestones, read the names and dates, and look for epitaphs perhaps to borrow as our own...
A lovely place to rest - after Duartes, or even for Eternity...
