We had a great 5-day getaway to Yosemite in March. We hadn't been back to the Valley since I went digital. I've been enjoying - and envious of friends and Flickr contacts who have brought back amazing images, and I was hungry to try my hand at some of the classic landscapes.

Have to make a pitch for Michael Frye's"Photographer's Guide to Yosemite" app. I had his book from my film days, but the app is incredible. Easy to use, spot on with his descriptions, really helful to nail down where you want to be at what time of day, in what season, instead of driving 'round 'n round the Valley hoping to find that sweet shot. Can recommend enough!
